SPECTANK® SUSTAINABILITY
Spectank® is aware of the pressure that manufacturing activities put on our scarce natural resources in South Africa and the world. With this critical topic in mind, we have embarked on a sustainable business journey to help mitigate our footprint when it comes to the increasingly fragile environment.
- Our Spectank® soak tank – the original – saves approximately 280 million litres of water a year globally. Constant design reviews and upgrades are implemented to reduce electricity usage on this unit.
- Our factory is powered by our solar installation.
- Water used to manufacture our product is supplied exclusively by our on-site borehole.
- All light fittings have been converted to energy-saving units.
- We use a third party to separate at source greatly reducing our landfill deposits. They provide full audits on recyclable waste amounts for our records.
- Where possible we clean forecourts and grease traps with enzyme based (100% natural) products.
- Our 100% All Natural range – FOREST – has been awarded the Global GreenTag certification.
- Our CARBSOLVE® and REoven have been awarded the Global GreenTag certification.
